Dance99 2012 Class Updates

We're entering the Golden Dragon Year and every new year brings new blessings and new hope to everyone. In Dance99, we are proud that some of our classes will be heading towards their last routine of the foundation (beginner) classes! Majority of the essentials techniques has been taught and they are ready to gear towards a higher level of the dance. We will be having more fun when applying what we have learned into fun, energetic choreographies.

New Beginner Level 3 in July 2011!

The final level for Beginner is going to start this week!! This level concentrates on the slow undulation movements of the upper body and lower body. Learn to do figure-8s, circles, undulations, etc. We welcome students that are willing to brush up their techniques or just for revision purposes! New adventurous challenge seeking students are welcomed to try out, as well.

New Beginner Class at Pulau Tikus

There has been numerous requests for me to start class around town and Pulau Tikus area. Finally, I've managed to find a place which I can host my classes which has ample space for dance. It's going to be a total beginner class, targeting students that has no experience at belly dancing at all! If you have been wondering whether belly dance is for you and would like to try it out. Holiday Updates

It's December, the final month of the year. Dance99 would like to thank all our students for a great time in class. We would not make it without your support!

And thank you too, to all the corporate companies that had invited us to perform at their eventful functions.  We hope that you had enjoyed working with us and we look forward to more opportunities, in the future.

X'mas, New Year and Chinese New Year Holidays Updates

Please take note that, we are closed for the year end holidays from 20th Dec 2010 - 3rd Jan 2011. All classes to resume on the 4th Jan 2011, except for the Tuesday, 9.15pm - 10.15pm class at Jammin Senzation, Greenlane.

We will also be closed for the Chinese New Year celebration from 1st Feb 2011 - 13th Feb 2011 and reopen on the 14th February 2011.

 

We wish everybody a great holiday ahead and see you again next year!

Level 1 Performance Choreography

Anyone interested to learn a beginner dance meant for the stage? If you already have some basics in belly dance, preferably 3 - 6 months of practice, please join us! Techniques applied include hip sway, hip pops, duck walk, mambo with hip pops, bouncing shimmies, turns, horizontal hip circles, shoulder shimmies, Egyptian shimmies, hip lifts/drops, hip drop twist, single hip circles and more!

Map to Plaza Ivory

To all Karen Madrid's workshops participants, this is the map to the studio from the Penang Bridge. The studio is directly opposite the Marrybrown Chicken restaurant and on top of the Nasi Kandar Istimewa at the corner. Just take the staircase at the Nasi Kandar Istimewa to go up to Level 1 where the studio is.
